A fine piece of furniture is a treasured item, both functional and beautiful. Each piece of Simmons Kids furniture is created to serve the needs of children and parents with style, taste and elegance. Simmons furniture ensures that your child is surrounded by comfort, beauty and safety.
Simmons has a long history of providing heirloom-quality furniture. In the early 1900s Thomas Edison purchased the company to produce wooden cabinets of such fine quality and detail that many are now collector's items.
Over 80 years ago, the company began producing infant furniture and Simmons cribs, chests and highchairs became known for their lasting beauty. Today Simmons is the oldest and best-known juvenile furnishings brand in America and Simmons still provides among the finest juvenile furniture available.
Creating Quality
Natural hardwoods are carefully selected and kiln dried under close scrutiny to attain the ideal properties required for fine furniture manufacturing. In production the wood is shaped, routed or bored to the specifications of our designers and each part is carefully sanded or polished to ensure it meets Simmons standards of quality.
Skilled teams of furniture makers assemble the parts which must pass additional quality inspections. Once assembled, parts are finished with the finest stains, varnishes or enamels. Surfaces are hand-wiped to accentuate the beauty of the natural wood grain. Additional sanding is done between finishing coats to ensure a smooth, durable finished product.
Original designs, premium materials, attention to detail and fine craftsmanship combined in every piece of Simmons Juvenile Furniture to create beautiful, durable fine furnishings your family will love and treasure for years.
Exceeding Standards
All Simmons cribs and furniture meet or exceed federal safety standards set forth by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). In addition, all Simmons furniture meets or exceeds American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) industry standards. Each of our products bears the golden seal of the Juvenile Products Manufacturers' Association (JPMA) signifying certification by an independent test lab that all our products have undergone comprehensive testing and adhere to all applicable standards.
